James Fugate wrote week before last about some very interesting points. And, as it would be, I couldn’t agree with him more. He spoke of religion, politics, and “free-thinking.” When people go into the voting booth, do they vote for the candidate that made the most sense, or do they vote on the vote for the Democrat/Republican?
I watched the Presidential debates and the voting in Iowa this past week. I was so terribly glad to be getting rid of George W. Bush with these new hopeful candidates. I thought it went rather well, until I heard people talking about it. You would think, from the results, that it was still the 1800s. I have heard so much negativity about Pres-idential hopeful Barack Obama, that one would think he was the worst person in the history of the world.
Global warming: We’ve all heard those two words mentioned before, perhaps numerous times. The pace at which polar icecaps are melting and disrupting the balance between fresh and salt water within the world’s oceans has the world on it’s toes. Scientists everywhere have caused great alarm and for reasons with which they have plenty of evidence.
I do not think this is working out. I cannot foresee this relationship going any further. We have grown apart during the last few years, and with the way our lives are going, I cannot see us having a future together. What I am saying is that you and I are finished.
Fear. It’s only one simple word. Nothing more, nothing less. Franklin Delano Roosevelt has even said that “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” However, as time and history shows, we have much to fear, including fear itself.
Throughout history, mankind has suffered bcause of fear. Fear of being outcast, fear of being let down, fear of being without the necessisties for life, and of course, the fear of whatever our leaders tell us to fear. This has been ever so prevalent, especially in the United States.
Do you want to know what I think about censorship? Well, I really can’t tell you exactly what I think about censorship because of censorship. It seems like our “freedoms” in this country have been declining for some time now and there seems to be no end. People come to this country to be able to be “free”. However, sometimes this isn’t the case.
This is a terrific deal. I mean, seriously; this is the best deal you’ve ever heard. You, my friend could possibly be the next President of the United States. Yes, that’s right. You could be at the very focal point of power in the United States’ universe. You could be the number one man or women. The head honcho. Numero uno.
Life can get a little monotonous sometimes. Try as everyone does the repetition of the little things throughout everybody’s daily life can begin to wear everyone down. But, there is hope. When the day has brought you down and there seems to be no place to turn, there is always one failsafe that will keep you from utter boredom: Board games.
It is now November. I just have one question to ask: Why have the Christmas trees, decorations, lights, ornaments, and wreaths been available for over three weeks now? I mean, seriously. Halloween was barely over (actually it’s barely close to Halloween) when the Christmas trees were in full season in the stores.
By the time you read this, the citizens of Kentucky will know who their Governor will be for the next four years. Since I’m writing this on Monday, I have no clue as to the results of this race. So, in that case, I am writing two articles. One of these will be in case Steve Beshear wins and the other if Ernie Fletcher wins.
