On April 9, 2007 a banquet was held in honor of the students on the Wall of Fame, the 6th Grade Academic Team, and the Elementary Academic Team.

On Thursday April 5, 2007 our sixth grade class at Rousseau Elementary attended “Safety Day” held at the Quicksand UK Substation. We learned a lot about different types of safety. First, we went to the “poison prevention” class and talked about dealing with poison. We took a test to see if we knew the difference between candy and medicine. You would be surprised to know how we did. We were given bags to put our information in. We learned a lot about dealing with poison.
LBJ Elementary School was the site of much laughter and celebration as the PTO had a “Spring Fling”.
Students enjoyed coloring eggs as part of our Easter celebration. Breanna Landrum proudly displays the eggs she colored.

The Gifted and Talented Showcase was a wonderful opportunity for GATE students to receive well deserved recognition for their projects. There were nine Rousseau students who participated in the showcase hosted by LBJ School.
Sebastian Middle School continues to strive to be the best. In planning for the CATS test, teachers and students have been working hard in preparation of meeting this year’s goal of 80.4.
Ashley Renee Miller, a senior at Breathitt High School, has received word that she is the winner out of the Kentucky River Region of the FFA as the Star in Placement. Ashley is a four year FFA member, and she made application for her State FFA Degree this year.
