Third Water Project Reaches Completion
“This will be beneficial to a lot of people.” Shannon Moore, the superintendent of the Breathitt County Water District stated proudly as a group of engineers and supervisors met along with Mayor Mike Miller on Monday, July 10th at the intersection of Town Hill and Highway 30 to complete the third water project and turn it on.
The process involved opening the valve to the water project and bolstering the water pressure, affecting over 500 customers in the City of Jackson water distribution system and over 500 customers of the Breathitt County Water District.
The group in attendance included Mayor Mike Miller, Shannon Moore, superintendent of the Water District, Delmar Spicer, foreman for the Water Dept., Doug Herald, and Carlos Maggard, an engineering technician at Nesbitt Engineering.
